New Camp Manager

Let us introduce you to our camp manager, Mark Thomas, his wife, Edi, and their sons Elijah and Dillon. They come to us from Erie, Pennsylvania. Both Mark and Edi have been active in camp work for many years and welcome this opportunity to serve the Lord at camp Iroquoina.

Mark and Edi and their family fellowshipped at Grace Gospel Chapel in Erie, for many years and for the last thirteen years fellowshipped at a new work they helped establish on the west side of Erie, Westside Gospel Chapel. Both were saved as young children. Mark grew up in the assemblies. Edi came into the fellowship of the assemblies in her college years. Both were active in youth groups and Youth for Christ in their teen years, a highlight for both being the years they spent in the Bible quizzing program Youth for Christ sponsored.
They actually met (when they really noticed each other) planning and running DVBS at Grace Gospel Chapel. They led the youth group there a couple of times, for several years each time, and were active in the Sunday school, Craft Club, Bible studies, and other efforts there at the chapel.

They have served the Lord together at Camp Li-Lo-Li for many years too. Mark has served a long time on the camp corporation. And he has been a long time servant planning and running the children's program for Family Camp, speaking and instructing archery at Summer Roundup week. Edi has been active managing the store, counseling, and assisting her husband with the children's program at Family Camp.

In December Mark graduated with a degree in maintenance mechanic technology from CAMtech in Erie, Pennsylvania. He has over twenty years experience in the field of machine design. His hobbies are chalk art and archery which the Lord has been gracious enough to allow him to use in His service. Edi homeschools their two younger children, but this is their second two.
A daughter and son have already graduated Home-School High. In fact Edi was one of the pioneers in obtaining a state recognized diploma issued by a homeschool organization.
Besides being the best supporter a husband could have, she does a lot of things well including; sewing, knitting, and cooking. Mark considers her a Proverbs 31 wife without question.
When he first came to Iroquoina, Elijah was eleven years old and going on fifteen. He loves sports, especially football and soccer. You'll agree his NFL aspirations could be in his future when you see his size and strength. Playing board games, reading, and just being outside are his favorite pastimes. And he'll spend as much time playing computer games as he can beg.
Dillon arrived at camp at nine years old and he can run like the wind. He likes to draw and build things. His career aspiration is to be a chemist when he grows up. His request for father's first project after the move is to get his bike working again. He is looking forward to being able to find Dad during the day and help him.
They have two older children, Mikaela, who is married to Travis McClellan. They also have a son, Seth, who is currently going to school and working part-time. They will be living in Erie area. This is by no means an exhaustive biography and the Thomas's look forward to telling you other things when they see you at Camp this year.
